This is our first vintage producing a "Nature" style of sparkling wine, which we are very excited to offer to our mailing list in extremely limited quantities. The "Brut Nature", also known as "Brut Zero," means that there was no additional dosage, or sugar added during fermentation, creating a bone-dry style that has less than 0.9 g/L of residual sugar.
We created this style not only to further showcase the potential for sparkling wine created from Riesling, but also to highlight the beauty and elegant potential for dry Riesling from the Rheingau. This is a hugely aromatic wine with tastes of fresh green apple, baking spices and meadow herbs, balanced by toasted hazelnuts and fresh brioche. The wine is a lively balance of bright acidity, a very delicate mousse and a lingering, savory finish. Only 100 cases of this wine were produced!
