Corton-Charlemagne is located in the northern part of the Côte de Beaune. Among the classic white Burgundy undertones of nuts, butter, and richness, the wines tend to show a general earthy character and mineral notes.
The vines where the grapes come from are located in the villages of Pernand Vergelesses, Aloxe Corton, and Ladoix Serrigny in the northern Côte de Beaune. This is a rich wine that over time develops ever-more mineral flavors. Notes of flint, vegetation, lime, and pineapple characterize the wine.
