The wines of Chorey-les-Beaune grow on the relatively flat land of the Saône plain, rather than on the slopes of the Côte d'Or. This creates wines of great drinkability in their youth and particularly strong values. Les Beaumonts is a vineyard that has been referenced since the 13th century as "Bellus Mons" and is adjacent to the vines of Savigny and Aloxe-Corton. It is a wine that is soft and packed with red fruits.
Press Notes :
The 2018 vintage was released and reviewed before the 2017. That vintage received 92 points from Wine Enthusiast - "The smokiness that envelopes red-cherry notions on the nose of this wine has slight cocoa lift. The concentrated palate displays a flowing smoothness that is for now impeded by slightly brushing but juicy tannins. Chocolately richness pops up in the background, making for a rounded, smooth wine.”
