Tvishi is an appellation for Tsolikauri grapes in 3,700 acres zone around Tvishi village in northwestern Georgia. Tsolikauri originates in Kolkheti (ancient Colchis, the land of the Golden Fleece). The origin of its name is still debated, but the common view is that it means “wife’s wine”. Tvishi is semi-sweet white wine with a beautiful light golden color made from 100% Tsolikouri grapes. Chumi is medium-to-full bodied and has a rich bouquet of aromas including fresh fruits and kiwi, alongside with sweet, floral notes.
Recommended temperature for serving is 46–50°F / 8-10°C.
Best served with fruits, fruit salads, biscuits, pumpkin, light cakes and other desserts.
