The stunning Cosentino cru is a 1.35-hectare vineyard also in Feudo di Mezzo on the northern slope of Mt. Etna.
Cosentino is 100% Nerello Mascalese, hand-harvested, and partially de-stemmed before being vinified. The wine ferments with indigenous yeasts with a long maceration before being aged for 15 months in French oak barrels before bottling. The texture of this wine is a complex, intense nose of ripe cherry, wild blackberry, and black pepper. The tannins are extremely well integrated, making it an elegant wine that is approachable yet with a great aging potential of at least 15 years. Only 290 cases produced.

94 points, Raffaele Vecchione, WinesCritic.com: “Iconic in its lovely setting, based on red and white flowers. Hibiscus, magnolia and lime are the main scents that combine well with chopped almonds and wet licorice stick. Medium-full body, sweet and round tannins in the shape and a lovable finish, son of an extraordinary territory. Drink now.”
