Tinata, our Rhone-inspired blend of Syrah and Grenache, comes from estate grown grapes. The vineyard is nestled next to the Mediterranean forest on a hillside slope; all factors contributing to the wines high complexity, elegant structure, and depth of balance. The grapes are carefully sorted during hand harvesting. The 2013 wine is made of 70 percent Syrah and 30 percent Grenache. Seventy percent is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels (40 percent new oak) and the remaining 30 percent is aged in concrete eggs.
I love the balance to this wine with ultra-fine tannins and delicacy. Perfumed and floral. Medium body, light strawberry, cherry and blueberry character. Extremely long and refined. It's so drinkable now. Made from 2.3 hectares of syrah and grenache. Why wait? 94 points, James Suckling
