Dolcetto has been made by our family since our very first vintage in 1896. This wine has always been one that we have enjoyed on a daily basis as an incredibly approachable, drinkable wine that pairs with anything we serve with it. The grapes are sourced from vineyards in Serralunga and Monforte d’Alba in soils mostly made of limestone. These soils give added structure to the Dolcetto grape, contributing additional freshness and floral aromas.
The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel for 7-9 days before further aging in stainless steel. Our goal with each vintage is to capture the bright, fruit-forward flavors of Dolcetto. In keeping with Langa tradition this wine is ideal with all courses of a meal. It is also perfect for snacks featuring cured meats and cheeses, or at the beginning of a meal, served with starters (other than fish) and sliced meats. Dolcetto is perfect in its youth and will add additional complexity for the next 5-7 years of aging.

The 2019 Dolcetto d'Alba is classy and elegant all the way. In 2019, the Dolcetto is not as rich or dark as it can be, but the 2019 more than makes up for that with its perfumed, silky personality. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, cedar and tobacco give this mid-weight Dolcetto lovely aromatic complexity and presence.
