This 100% Barbera comes from vineyards at 330m altitude with vines ranging from 10 to 45 years old. We strive to produce a very typical and traditional expression of Barbera, featuring intriguing freshness, good body, and a long finish.
Thanks to our meticulous selection processes, excellent exposure and very low yields, we grow very high-quality grapes that yield very complex wines. After harvest the wine ferments for 10-12 days in stainless steel at temperatures between 31-33° C, followed by malolactic fermentation and a short period of maturing in stainless steel.
90 Points – Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media (2019 vintage)
"The 2019 Barbera d'Alba is a soft, fruity wine to drink now and over the next few years. Plush and yet medium in body, the Massolino Barbera is done in a fairly restrained style that is hugely appealing."
