We first made this wine in the 2001 vintage; this release is our 7th year of production. Each vintage we produce about 6,000 bottles from a single two-hectare site.
2007 was an unusual growing season, one with lots of warm, dry spells and an early harvest. Overall vintage quality was excellent, with fresh, fine fruit quality, expressive aromas, and good tannic structure.
Sezzana is defined by its characteristics of amarena cherry, pine resin, menthol, and spices, with fruity, floral notes on the palate and a very long finish.
