Tulin is made up of wines from a single site that crosses the border between the Barbaresco villages of Treiso and Neviglie. This wine is produced with a maceration that lasts about 15 days in steel at controlled temperatures. Aging takes place in wood for 18 to 20 months with 50 percent done in large oak casks and 50 percent in barrique. The wine is blended after aging to avoid excessive wood presence as we feel this can dry this wine out.
Press Notes:
“The 2015 Barbaresco Tulin is exotic in the glass. Powerful and racy, the Tulin captures all of the exuberance of the year. This is a decidedly flamboyant style, and yet the 2015 retains terrific purity and nuance. Even so, the Tulin exudes depth and intensity in all of its dimensions." (92-95 points) Antonio Galloni
