2020, despite the obvious challenges happening in France, we were able to produce a stunning vintage. Throughout the year, the weather was quite cooperative and created a fruit set that had a balance of great ripeness and acidity. Our yields were higher than the previous two vintages and past concerns of mildew were not present in 2020. The resulting Cuvée Réservée was one of delicate freshness paired with a nice brightness and structure. On the mid-palate, you will find notes of exotic, tropical fruits that are classic to the wine. The finish is crisp and textured with layers of citrus fruit. This is a spectacular vintage for this wine and we are excited to see its development in the bottle.
The 2020 is not yet released. The flavors are different, offering hints of crushed stone, underripe pineapple, white peach and dried spices, then this medium to full-bodied wine adds vaguely chalky textural elements on the long finish. Silky and streamlined, it does a wonderful job of preserving freshness throughout.” – 95 points, Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
