Les Murgers is located mid-slope adjacent to other 1ers Crus on the Vosne-Romanee side of Nuits St. Georges. For this wine cold maceration is followed by alcoholic fermentation at 82°F, with malolactic fermentation in barrels. Only natural yeast from the grapes is used, the wine is manually punched down and left to ferment in tanks for 21 to 28 days. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (25% new) for 12 to 15 months.
Press Notes :
92 points, Wine Enthusiast – “From a densely planted vineyard halfway up the slope, this wood-aged wine has density, powerful tannins and the promise of rich fruitiness. This concentrated wine needs to age many years. Drink from 2025.” – Roger Voss
