Our Rosso di Montalcino made in the traditional style, “Rossofonte” comes from a careful selection of hand-picked grapes of sangiovese grosso with low yields from estate owned vineyards. It’s fermented in stainless steel and then aged in large Slavonian oak barrels. It’s a fresh, approachable expression of the region’s grape and terroir. Its fruity aromas of ripe berries and balsamic notes are a prelude to its sweet-acid components on the palate, which evoke raspberry and ripe blackberry fruit. The spicy finish has hints of star anise and pink pepper.
