Our Rosé is the perfect example of our goal of capturing the freshness and elegance of our vineyard sources. The wine is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are sourced from Grands and Premiers Cru vineyards within the villages of La Montagne de Reims (Pinot Noir) and the Côte des Blancs (Chardonnay), while the Pinot Meunier comes from the best sites within the Vallée de la Marne.
During blending, a small portion (8%) of the Pinot Noir from the beautiful terroirs of Cumières and Les Riceys is vinified as a red wine and blended in to provide the classic Rosé color and subtle aromas of red fruits. Further, 20% of reserve wines are used to add additional character to the final blend. After the second fermentation is completed, the wine is aged for three years on its lees, giving even more texture and depth to this stunning wine.
90 Points, Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator: “A lip-smacking rosé, with tangy acidity and a lively bead, this shows flavors of steeped raspberry, slivered almond, oyster shell and ground ginger. Drink now. 5,000 cases made, 1,500 cases imported.
