Now 14 years after the 2007 vintage was harvested, we continued to be pleased with the longevity that Nemo Cabernet has given us. The vintage was widely acclaimed for its drinkability but it has maintained incredible vibrancy and structure as it has aged in the cellar. The winter was very mild and caused very early flowering and vine activity. This transitioned into a cooler summer than in 2006, so it was our mission in the vineyard to give the clusters enough sun in our canopy management to increase ripening. When Il Mulino was harvested, we were initially taken by the high aromatics and fruit profile, which made it a beautiful wine early in its life, but it continues to exhibit that fresh profile along with a beautiful, silky texture with bottle aging.

91 points, Bruce Sanderson – Wine Spectator - "Concentrated flavors of blackberry and plum are matched by brisk acidity and dense tannins. This has character, though it's more about the grape than place. Cabernet Sauvignon."
